Daily Schedule

  • 2:30pm to 3:00pm

    SNACK & TRANSITION TIME

Purpose: This gives students a chance to recharge after the school day and ease into the after school program.

Activities: Provide a healthy snack and allow some unstructured social time or light, fun activities (e.g., drawing, reading).

  • 3:00pm to 4:00pm

    CORE STEAM ACTIVITY BLOCK

Purpose: This is the primary learning period, where students focus on STEAM projects or lessons.

Activities: Hands-on workshops such as science experiments, mural painting, coding games, or collaborative weaving.

Structure: Highly interactive, collaborative, and gamified activities to keep students engaged.

  • 4:00pm to 4:30pm

    BREAK & PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Purpose: Break up the learning with a chance for movement to help students reset and stay focused.

Activities: Supervised outdoor play, simple indoor exercises, or games that get them moving.

Optional Pickup: Families are allowed to pick up students at 4:30pm

  • 4:30pm to 5:15pm

    SECOND STEAM ACTIVITY BLOCK

Purpose: Allow students to continue their STEAM exploration with new activities and provide an alternative under the umbrella topic of the day.

Activities: Options offered to students: they could continue the STEAM project from earlier or choose related activities/workshops presented by our Lead Tutor.

Optional Pickup: Families are allowed to pick up students at 5:15pm

  • 5:15pm to 6:00pm

    WIND DOWN & HOMEWORK SUPPORT

Purpose: End the day on a lighter note, giving students a mix of structured downtime and enrichment options. Tutors will also provide homework support at this time so students can come home to their families finished with school.

Activities: Homework help, creative activities like crafts, or quiet reading/drawing. Optionally, rotate themed “interest stations” where students can engage in low-key activities based on their interests.
